Description

This Easy Cake Pop recipe combines simple plant-based ingredients and natural flavors to create delightful bite-sized desserts perfect for parties, snacks, or personal treats. These vibrant, tasty cake pops are easy to make, customizable, and ideal for on-the-go enjoyment or fun activities with friends and family.

Ingredients

Scale

Cake Base Ingredients

  • 2 cups cake crumbs (from your favorite baked or plant-based cake mix)

Binding and Sweetening

  • 1/2 cup plant-based dairy/cheese
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (natural)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (natural)

Natural Gelling Agent

  • 1 teaspoon natural gelling agent

Coating and Decoration

  • 1 cup plant-based chocolate or natural candy melts
  • Decorative sprinkles (plant-based and natural) as desired

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Cake Base: Start with fresh or leftover cake and crumble it finely into a large mixing bowl. This will be the tasty foundation for your cake pops.
  2. Mix in the Plant-Based Dairy/Cheese and Sweetener: Add the plant-based dairy/cheese and maple syrup (natural) to the crumbs. Stir gently along with vanilla extract (natural) until combined into a sticky dough that will hold its shape when rolled.
  3. Shape the Cake Balls: Using your hands, scoop and roll the mixture into equal-sized bite-sized balls. Place them on a lined tray and chill to firm up slightly.
  4. Insert the Sticks: Dip the tip of each stick into melted plant-based chocolate (natural) before inserting halfway into each chilled ball to securely attach the stick.
  5. Coat the Cake Pops: Dip each cake ball into your melted coating of choice, tapping off any excess. Immediately decorate with sprinkles or crushed nuts for extra flair.
  6. Allow to Set: Place the finished cake pops upright in a foam block or glass to let the coating harden completely before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Use fresh cake crumbs for a softer final bite and better binding.
  • Chill cake balls thoroughly before and after inserting sticks for easier coating.
  • Use a fork or dipping tool to ensure smooth, even coats on every cake pop.
  • Add decorations while coating is still wet so they stick perfectly.
  • Store cake pops in an airtight container in the fridge to maintain freshness for up to 5 days.
