Instructions

  1. Prepare and cook the beef and bacon: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion and garlic, sauté until soft and fragrant. Add ground beef and cook until browned and crumbly. Stir in chopped smoked turkey bacon and cook until crispy. Mix in vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), ranch seasoning (natural), and apple cider vinegar to build layers of flavor.
  2. Boil pierogis: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pierogis and cook following package instructions until they float and are tender but still hold their shape. Drain and set aside gently.
  3. Assemble the bake: Grease a casserole dish. Spread half of the cooked pierogis evenly on the bottom. Layer half of the beef and bacon mixture over them, then sprinkle with half of the shredded plant-based cheddar (plant-based) cheese. Repeat with the remaining pierogis, beef mixture, and top with the remaining cheese.
