This flavorful recipe balances fresh vegetables and rich textures, perfect for an easy weeknight meal or inviting dinner.

Ingredients

Proteins

  • Chicken Breast, 1 pound, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • Smoked Turkey Bacon, 6 slices, chopped

Pasta

  • Spaghetti Pasta, 8 ounces

Vegetables & Aromatics

  • Onion, 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic, 3 cloves, minced
  • Green Bell Pepper, 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Fresh Parsley, 2 tablespoons, chopped for garnish

Sauces & Seasonings

  • Natural Tomato Sauce, 1 cup
  • Vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce (natural), 1 tablespoon
  • Apple Cider Vinegar (natural), 1 teaspoon
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black Pepper, to taste

Other Ingredients

  • Plant-Based Cheese, 1 cup shredded
  • Natural Gelling Agent, 1 teaspoon
  • Water, reserved pasta water as needed to adjust sauce consistency

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Chop the onion, garlic, and green bell pepper finely. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized chunks and slice the smoked turkey bacon into small pieces. Preparing all ingredients beforehand ensures a smooth cooking process.
  2. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti pasta until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain, reserving one cup of the pasta water, then set the pasta aside.
  3. Sauté the Aromatics and Bacon: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the smoked turkey bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside. In the same skillet, add chopped onions, garlic, and green bell pepper. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the skillet. Cook for 6 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken is fully browned and cooked through.
  5. Create the Creamy Sauce: Stir in the natural tomato sauce, vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), and apple cider vinegar (natural). Sprinkle in the natural gelling agent carefully while stirring continuously to achieve a rich, creamy consistency. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Combine Pasta and Ingredients: Add the cooked spaghetti and crispy smoked turkey bacon back into the skillet. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  7. Melt in Plant-Based Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded plant-based cheese evenly over the pasta. Cover the skillet briefly until the cheese melts into the warm mixture, adding a creamy finish.

Notes

  • Use fresh vegetables and good-quality smoked turkey bacon for best flavor.
  • Cook spaghetti al dente for ideal texture and sauce adherence.
  • Stir continuously when adding the natural gelling agent to avoid lumps and ensure smooth sauce.
  • Adjust sauce thickness by adding reserved pasta water as needed.
  • Customize heat by adding crushed red pepper flakes or smoked paprika to taste.
